Passports are needed when one is travelling out of the country. They are issued out to anyone, whether they are travelling at that time, or they are travelling in the future. A passport does not limit one to travel once, but one can travel as many times as they want as long as their passports are valid. An invalid passport is the one that is already expired. All passports have an expiry date, after which one is supposed to renew their passport. One is supposed to fill a form for renewing expired passports id from the passport issuing office, and to pay a passport renewal fees. The fee is not as much as the fee required when applying for a new passport. There are also not so many documentation needed when renewing one’s expired passport because every information is already in the issuing office’s database. However, when one wants to make a few changes in their passport, they will be required to have documents to support those changes. In case one’s passport is almost expiring and they are in need of getting out of the country, it’s advisable to renew the passport first so that they may have minimal issues with the travelling authority. |

Making fake passports is one way in which fraudsters have been making money freely in this country. We have had so many cases of fake passports reported by the travel authority of our country and even though security has been intensified, we still are receiving similar cases. This is jeopardizing the security of our country. What these fraudsters do is to use a stolen passport in order to print a similar one with that particular number. Since the number exists in the issuing office, it will be hard for the travel authority to realize that the passport is a fake. In case one has lost their passport, it is always advisable to report the matter immediately to the police so that in case of a passport bearing the same number as that of a stolen passport, then the fraud will be uncovered. In case of lost passport airport authorities are supposed to be notified as well in order to be on the look out so as to nab these fraudsters. This way, we will stop the vice for good in our country. |

People never see the importance of obtaining a passport until they actually need it. It is usually very advisable to get a passport even if you are not traveling outside the country for emergency purposes. For example if a family member goes out of the country and you are required to go to them because of an emergency or an urgent need and yet you do not have a passport, what will you do about that? It gets really frustrating when you are trying to get things done at the last minute it is usually not good because of all the pressure. If you need a passport urgently, you will have to go to the nearest passport office and apply for one, and when you are getting the envelopes you are supposed to indicate that it is a passport fast track. You will have to pay extra fees for the passport because you want them to expedite the process for you, when they process it very fast they will be able to deliver it in twenty four or forty eight hours. |
